The guy from the Louisiana Swamp Critter Society agrees. He sent a very freaky picture of an Amphiuma and wrote: “I’m guessing threetoed Amphiuma, the big salamanders. “Running” – I don’t know about that, but I suppose they can squirm quickly. And they’ve got a good bite, though not dangerous.
